Background

In June of 2001, the former host for the rec.bicycles.off-road moderation system (plain.net) disappeared from the Internet. Deprived of its moderation system, rec.bicycles.off-road (rbor) died as well.

Recently, some of the former moderators and other interested people have taken the time to revive the moderation system and get the group working again. Once again, we are utilizing a mix of robotic and human moderation, via Igor Chudov's STUMP Robomoderator Program.

Scott Patton is returning as moderation administrator as he is most qualified to configure the STUMP Moderation Software. Scott will also be taking up his old moderation duties.

Charlie Beristain will be returning as a moderator.

Paul Southworth has stepped up as the host for the moderation software as well as becoming a moderator.

We have attempted to contact the other moderators. Some have not been located, others are not interested in participating. If you have information that could assist us in contacting any former moderators, please email us.
